Seriously, I loved them since I was a little girl and I wanted to pay homage to one of the coolest science/educational cartoons ever, so I drew the girls as they would be when they were grown-up teens. Not very good, but ah well - y'can't win them all. If you're wondering why I didn't draw the guys - well, unlike Tim, my sketching abilities are limited and I SERIOUSLY CANNOT DRAW GUYS. AT ALL.
Personally, my favourite character is Dorothy Ann. However, I think Phoebe came out the best in the whole thing, for some I-don't-know-why reason. Which suits me fine, because Phoebe IS the prettiest character.
If you're wondering why Wanda looks like a vampire and Keesha looks just plain weird, I think it's because of the lips and the outfit. Dorothy Ann and Phoebe don't strike me as the kind of girls who's wear obvious make-up, but Wanda and Keesha do - Wanda because she can get away with it (and when she grows up she hates being called a boy-in-a-girl's-body because she actually LIKES being a girl *gasp*) and Keesha because she's just plain awesome and is supposed to be the sexy, supermodel-type, young Tyra Banks-ish girl who guys love. Unfortunately, Wanda looks like she's a vampire whose just had lunch (I think I took the vamp look a bit far), and Keesha didn't turn out the way I expected. Dorothy Ann and Phoebe did, though, so that's good.

Thanks so much! It was the first time I tried to do colours like that, although I think the scanner didn't come out so well - must learn how to ink it, lol!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

I'm glad you did. I didn't want it to be too weird, because I wanted them to dress like how they would when they were all older and grown up.
